Southgate Anderson Varsity Winter Guard
The Southgate Anderson Winter Guard is in its 18th Year of Competition. The Varsity team competes in the Scholastic A Division in the Michigan Color Guard Circuit (MCGC) and in Winter Guard International (WGI).
It is our most competitive team State Wide and Nationally.
The Varsity team consists of all high school or middle school aged students, 8th grade - 12th grade.
We were 2017 MCGC Scholastic A Silver medalist and in 2016 were MCGC Scholastic Champions. In recent years we have finished as high as 2nd Place at State Championships, twice. We have been finalists in the WGI Pittsburgh, Walled Lake, Grand Blanc and Indianapolis Elite Regionals. We also became a WGI Mid-East Color Guard Championship Finalist in 2014. In 2020, we came in 2nd place at WGI Flint competition. The Southgate Anderson Winter Guard has also become a WGI World Championship Semi-Finalist.
